When considering a lighting plan for a building or home in the first instance we have to take the pervading daylight into account. The preference for the necessary lighting is through generating indirect light. Here the colour of the light and the mirror surface are of great importance, because together these detemine the surrounding light colour.
An indirect light source can be an armatue, possibly combined with a structural building solution, for example a light moulding or frame. Direct light can, alongside indirect light, provide detailed lighting, inspection lighting and mood lighting.
The correct balance between direct light and indriect light in a lighting plan is of great importance. Additionally the light intensity and the influcence thereof (switches and dimmers) is important to create the correct atmosphere.
