tv-studio atmosphere translated into editorial offices

industrial building with identity

The rooms at the editing facilities at the NOS studios had an impersonal atmosphere of office partitioning, suspended ceilings, closed office cells, corridors and a sphere of anonymity.

In preparation for the new building in the existing building, we designed and implemented a pilot for the reconfiguration of the existing building, which will be part of the new building.

We wanted to give the people who work at NOS more of a sense of the product as they make, TV shows, we have taken the themes ’craft’, ’factory’ and ’theatre’ and translated them into spatial elements, such as removal of the suspended ceilings (so installation was visible again), opening the closed cell offices (by placing a large glass walls with large glass swing doors), showing their activities in public spaces (by displaying active TV and radio on consoles) and the placing of informal meeting areas (where you can also eat and drink something).
